The series is called "The Pioneers of Television Cartoons", and features characters from some of the most popular and enduring cartoon series ever produced. This set is the Flintstones limited edition watch and specialized watch case shaped like an old-fashioned wooden television hutch! The inner cardboard liner is designed like a television set with the watch dial situated in the center of the "screen". These incredibly unique and rare timepiece sets were limited to 2500 pieces each and were manufactured in 1995-1996 by Fossil. The Flintstones is one of the most successful animated television series of all time, originally running for six seasons from1960 to 1966. In later seasons the Great Gazoo, an alien exiled to earth who helps Fred and Barney, was included in the cast. This watch dial features a large close-up of Fred, watching his little green pal Gazoo circle the dial as the second hand movement. The cardboard insert has a picture of Dino, Fred’s pet. This is one of only 2500 pieces manufactured and distributed world-wide and will never be released again. The LE # 0899 is embossed on the caseback and printed on the outer box. The set is brand new and in mint condition in its original box with Fossil paperwork and fully functional watch.
