This genuine, authentic Seiko Mickey Mouse watch for men is one of the most sought after of all the Seiko Mickey’s ever manufactured. In the late 1980’s and early 90’s Seiko manufactured a series of high quality timepieces with Mickey Mouse as the central character. These high end collectibles are now sought after by Disney watch enthusiasts, and are listed in almost every watch collector’s guide as essential components of any comprehensive Disney or character watch collection. Seiko no longer produces this high-end watch line (although SII is still the major licencee of Disney watches) and the models from this original series are valuable collectibles.

This classic timepiece was never worn and is running strong with new battery placement. It features a tri-color Mickey Mouse head in the dial center, with the day and date windows displayed on the backdrop of one of his large black ears. The most outstanding feature of this stunning timepiece is its very rare glow-in-the-dark background, one of the very few Seiko Mickey’s with this popular attribute. The luminescence is automatically seen in the dark; there are no buttons to press to provide the light. The original strap is in excellent condition with no signs of wear, and has the Seiko water resistant tag still attached. The crystal is clear and unscratched. The watch has been on display for over fifteen years, and the caseback has a few minor marks that are typical of display pieces as well as a scratch from the jeweler’s battery change process that can be buffed out. The back of the steel band lugs show some minor age changes that are also typical in display pieces this age. This does not affect the beauty or function of this piece in any way. It is shipped in its original display box.

This is a very rare piece and extremely hard to find on any other auction or collector’s site. The watch case is very unique, featuring elongated sides at the crown and on the opposing side; a diamond cut textured bezel catches and reflects light and adds depth and dimension; Seiko and Disney logos printed on the dial; black watch hands with luminescent tips; automatic date calendar window; day window with settings in both English and Spanish; second/minute markings labelled at hour markers from 5 to 60; an inset dial with raised outer rim; premium quality supple black leather strap with steel buckle; and water resistance. The watch fits a wrist size up to approximately 8", and the case app. 1-1/2" across without the crown. This is the only model we have in stock so don’t let this beauty go to another collector.
