This listing features a very rare, limited edition Mickey Mouse animated watch that is based on the Disney short "The Band Concert". This animated classic timepiece, the Toon Time Motion Watch, features a rotating disc with Mickey’s sheet music and a trombone circling the dial as the watch’s second hand movement, mimicing a tornado sequence from the movie. The watch is one in a series of items that were manufactured to raise funds for Disney’s Magic Music Days program, a unique educational program designed for students of the arts. It gives instrumental, vocal and dance ensembles an opportunity to showcase their talents in a professional setting, available to to performing groups around the globe. The watch was manufactured by Fantasma in 1993 and were non-numbered limited edition models available exclusively through the Disney fundraising offices. The watch caseback sports the Magic Music Days logo, and the dial and red velvet case both display the "Classic Toons" logo. The watch is in mint, brand-new condition and is running strong. It ships in its original customized red velvet case with original watch and warranty information and its original outer cardboard sleeve. This is an incredibly rare watch model that was not made available for retail sale in any Disney outlet or park, and is no longer offered. The watch was featured in Tomart’s Disneyana Update No. 3, along with other merchandise sold to raise funds (see photo below). They were discontinued and will no longer be produced.
