This listing features an extremely rare Disney watch and box that is one of the most sought after Disney collectible watches of all time. It is the Minnie and Mickey “Love-in” pocketwatch, originally designed by Pennsylvania antiques dealer artist Al Horen of Renninger’s Antique Market as a production model in the 1960’s for the nostalgia marketplace. It was not mass-produced at that time and there were only a few models made. In the 1990’s, Disney introduced the fifth series in the Disney Watch Collector’s Club, which featured famous Disney characters timepieces sets that included a unique and custom made music/jewelry box with each model. These were produced exclusively for Watch Collectors Club members, and upon purchasing the first six watches in the series a special remake of the “Love-in” pocketwatch in its own original music box was made available to each collector. These are exclusive limited production pieces numbering only 7500, and were never made available to the public for retail sale.
